Big Point Ms. Quick Stop
Stopped to get gasand shot these photos this evening.
Big Point is a small community between Hurley and Escatawpa Ms., friendly service and a convenience location.
We stop here for Gas, ice, cold drinks, and sometimes an occassional ice cream.
Outside is a board where you can find; things for sale, services, local information, pick up your weekly penny pincher, and more than likley see someone you know.
Wish I had been photographing the gas price changes along the gulf coast, maybe I will start. Rumor has it by August it will be $ 5.00 a gallon.

That is a great price, Alice. We are looking at $3.65 up here in West Lafayette, Indiana.
Our gas is around the same and it is for full service... not allowed to pump your own gas in Oregon.

Your prices are a good 25-45 cents lower than in our area. The gas stations by I84 are going to be at $ pretty soon.
Oregon has prohibited self serve gasoline for as long as I have been in the Pacific Northwest (12+ years). It is supposed to be about safety but find that hard to believe when 48 other states don't see the same safety isssues. New Jersey is the other state prohibing self serve gas. It actually wastes gas as people wait in their cars, with the engine running, for the attendant to take care of the cars. It is quicker to do it yourself versus the poor person trying to take care of thre or four cars at once.
Having to pay an employee also means the price has to be higher for the additional labor costs.
